Identical/Fraternal

So some that read this will be like, "What you didn't know this already?" My answer to that would be, well yes but there were alot of things that pointed the other way. I was told all during my pregnancy that my girls were identical. Once I gave birth and they could examine the placentas that would be the deciding factor. So I got a copy of my c-section report and it stated, "fused Placenta A and Placenta B". This would make a person think, ok, two seperate ones meaning fraternal. Soooo then Natalie ended up having the whole nystagmus issue. This again made me wonder identical or fraternal...... All this ended us with getting DNA profiling.

The Results Are In:

Conclusion:DNA profiling was performed by standard methods, and has been completed on samples in the name of Natalie Trotta - Twin A and Samantha Trotta - Twin B. Based on the observed scientific evidence, it is concluded, for all practical purposes, in reference to the submitted samples, that there is 99.9999% probability that Natalie Trotta - Twin A and Samantha Trotta - Twin B are identical twins, and the odds that these two individuals are identical twins and not ordinary siblings is 3,530,000 to 1. Therefore, Natalie Trotta - Twin A is included as the possible identical twin of Samantha Trotta - Twin B.

For those wondering, Yes, Samantha was first so she should have been Twin A, but ding dong mommy did the swabs backwards.

1st Bday pics...

The girls had a great 1st bday. Me on the other hand, I'm really having trouble with the fact that my babies are one years old. These are the last of my babies so it was really hard for me. I've already started the work out the bottles too. I learned my lesson with Aubrey. She took too long to get rid of it. They are doing very good with the whole thing. Thanks to everyone that attented and sent their Happy Birthday wishes. Now on for some more great adventures....

PATIENCE PATIENCE PATIENCE

I'm running out of them. I'm really being challenged by my 3yr old right now. I'm about to flip my lid. Aubrey is a very strong willed and smart child. Probably to smart for her own good. We are struggling with using our ears more and our mouth less. Miss Aubrey always has a better plan other than the ones that are already made. She is also having trouble listening to the word NO. I understand all kids have this trouble but geeezzzz. I've tried every way of disipline I can. I'm exhausted with trying. I've tried time out (big joke), I've tried spankings (could lead to child abuse) so my new try is taking things that mean something to her away. So last night on our way home from mommom's I was explaining to her that she would not be watching TV in her room since she didn't listen to mommom all day. What I get in response is "Well, I'll watch TV in my toyroom and sleep in there" please visualize the little weaving of her head while she says this. So already today she has lost her TV for the night because she again did not listen to mommom. So today I'm going to take her TV out of her bedroom and her toyroom and when she decides to behave herself she'll get her TV back. I'm hoping this works, wish me luck!!!

Halloween Costumes

I know it isn't Halloween yet, but I had the pictures so I had to post them. We did the Lil' Mermaid theme this year. Aubrey is a perfect Ariel, minus the red hair. Sami is Flounder since she is walking and Nati is Sebastian since she's still crawling. Their cousin Leah had a costume bday party so they got to dress up early. Can't wait to take them trick or treating!!!

Millburn Orchards Field Trip

Aubrey went on her first field trip to Millburn Orchards. We had such a good time. It was so funny for me to go on a field trip and be chaperone instead of a student. We rode on a school bus to get there, I think Aubrey was more excited about that then the orchard. The whole class went on a hay ride, picked apple, gords (not sure how to spell that), and had apple cider and apple cider donuts. I let Aubrey pick a pumpkin that we will paint for Halloween. She got a couple pictures with her friend Madeline in the pumpkin patch. Fun was had by all. I can't wait for the next one.
